The Octette Bridge Club Concludes This Weekend

The cast and crew of P. J. Barry’s The Octette Bridge Club enjoyed standing ovations for performances during the show’s first two weekends.  We think you’ll enjoy it just as much during shows this last weekend, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:30.

The play tells the story of the eight Donavan Sisters, who get together once a month to enjoy an evening of Bridge.  It’s October, 1934 when the play begins, and the ladies are being photographed for a story in the local newspaper.  The second act takes place ten years later, and we enjoy finding out all that is new – and what remains the same – across that decade.

As a testimonial, here’s an excerpt from an email we received: “If you want to see a tale about the bonds of unconditional love, I heartily recommend it. It is emotionally intense in some scenes and absolutely downright funny in others. A sympathetic and well acted production. Well done!!”

The shows’ cast of eight award-winning women is joined by the indefatigable Justin (Girl in the Freudian Slip) Radkiewicz in a cameo appearance as the photographer, Mr. Foster.

The Octette Bridge Club is a wonderful evening of theater.  Make plans today to see it this weekend or next in the VK Garage Theater! See you there!
