PROOF Final Weekend May 1-3

Enjoy this beautiful, award-winning play now through May 3.

The P2K production of David Auburn’s Pulitzer Prize drama Proof was met with a rousing ovation on its opening night.  The audience recognized the virtuosity of both play and performers with warm congratulations.

Proof play tells the story of Catherine, the youngest daughter of a brilliant mathematician, who wonders how much of “him” she has inherited.  The questions are – will she also be gifted with genius? and if so – will that mean she also gets the madness that overtook him?

The role of “Catherine” is ably presented byAmy Goodyear, a P2K regular who recently earned “All Star Cast” honors at the State and Regional Levels of AACTFest.  Her Father, “Robert,” is played by R Sheldon Boyce, most recently seen as “William Gillette” in last year’s The Game’s Afoot.

The ensemble is balanced with outstanding performances by Ste ve Roberts as “Hal,” the protege who wants desperately to find meaning in Robert’s final works, andDarcey Wagner as “Claire,” Catherine’s older and more practical sister.

Performances areFridays and Saturdays, April 24, 25, May 1 and 2at 7:30, with Matinees on Sundays, April 26 and May 3.  General Admission seating at the VK Garage Theater is just $20.  Reservations are recommended, as seating is limited, but there will also be tickets available at the door.  Remember to tell the Box Office if you’ll need any special accommodation in seating.

A play like Proof only comes along once in a while – we hope you’ll take advantage of this special opportunity to enjoy a wonderful evening of live theater.
