Making God Laugh Concludes This Weekend

Making God Laugh will finish its run this weekend with three final performances Friday and Saturday, September 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 3 at 2:30 p.m.

“I think this script is really unique because it’s so familiar – everyone will recognize their wonderfully dysfunctional families in this one” says one of the show’s Co-Directors, Amy Goodyear. “They are like a real family – making jokes together, fighting, having tough emotional conversations, but loving each other more and more through it all.”

Ah – The Crazy 80’s

Making God Laugh
follows the family of “Ruthie” and “Bill”, played by P2K veterans Barbara French and Michael Stanard, over the course of forty years. “It follows one family through decades of great change, the 1980s to the 2010s” Amy says. “These decades bring significant changes not only in the lives of the characters but in our country as well, and I think people will really enjoy the nostalgia of the show and remembering those times.”

Mom and Dad

“It reminds us all that we should be open to whatever life throws at us” Amy adds. “Like the title suggests, you can make all the plans you want but sometimes God has other ideas; but it always turns out the way it was supposed to in the end.”
