Nunsense Opening October 20

For the first time since the re-opening of the VK Garage Theater, song and dance will mix with laughter as Playhouse 2000 will present the hilarious musical Nunsense beginning on October 20th.

Nunsense will be the first musical to be presented on the VK Garage stage since the opening of The Cailloux Theater..

In Nunsense, created by Dan Goggin, we are entertained by the Little Sisters of Hoboken (an order dedicated to serving lepers in New Jersey) who are throwing a fund-raising musical revue. With song, dance and stories, the five sisters create an evening of fun for everyone.

This talented group has been lead by director Jeffrey Brown, with Michael Kahl as Music Director and Heather Cunningham as Choreographer.  The fabulous Susan Matteson is the Accompanist, and Kerri Sparkman is the Stage Manager.  Diane Royce-Smith is coordinating costumes, and Carol Maryan is corralling props.
Nunsense has become one of the most popular shows in America.  It’s been produced thousands of times across the county and spun off many successful sequels.  It’s a pastiche show, featuring a wide variety of styles – including patter songs, ballads, country, tap and even ballet.
Nunsense will be presented beginning October 20th and run for three weekends. Show times are 7:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays, with two SundayMatinees, October 29 and November 5 at 2:30.
All tickets are $20, and seating is general admission. Due to the intimate nature of the VK Garage Theater, reservations are recommended, though not required. Reservations are available by telephone at (830) 896-9393, online HERE, or in person at The Cailloux Theater Box Office.
