Hill Country Charity Ball Big Success

It was a magical night, the night of Saturday, May 3rd, when the Hill Country Charity Ball Association created a “Circus Masquerade” themed evening for the ages.

This year, the HC Charity Ball raised funds for P2K’s “Youth Initiatives’ which includes two very exciting programs:
  • The “Young People’s Performances Series” brings hundreds of school-age children to The Cailloux Theater to enjoy world-class fine arts events three times per year. Thanks to our  sponsors, this series is provided free-of-charge for all public school students. Previous artists have included the Houston Grand Opera, New York-based TheaterWorks USA, and the international sensation “Intergalactic Nemesis.” Since 2012, more than 8,000 young people have enjoyed these performances!
  • The Playhouse 2000 Youth Theater Program provides hands-on experiences in the theater arts to young people in grades four through high school, with no participation or other fees required. In just our first two productions, we have had more than 75 participants, using their talent and learning skills in acting, design, stage management, theater tech and more.

We so much appreciate the support the 2014 Hill Country Charity Ball will provide to these programs – support which will last this year and into the future!  Thanks especially to HCCBA President Elect Tish Miller and Board Members Sarah Distel and Keri Sparkman – and to all who worked on, supported, or participated in making this such an outstanding event!
