Christmas at Broken Pine Opens

Playhouse 2000 is very pleased to be able to host the World-Premiere performances of a brand new Melodrama Spoof created by our own Jim Boman, who has become well known to Hill Country audiences for projects like The Plight Before Christmas and others in that line – the kind of show where you cheer the Hero, swoon along with the Ingenue, and Boo, Hiss and throw popcorn at the Villain.

Christmas at Broken Pine centers around the plight of “Lucinda Roundtree”, played byBarbara French, and her daughter, the lovely “Magnolia,” played by Savannah Cone, who must foil the machinations of the evil banker “Elmer Dogwood,” played by Russell French

Fortunately, our hero, in the form ofDevon Vanderveer playing “Tommy”

arrives to save the day!  Along the way, he’s assisted and accompanied by folks like “Grandma Roundtree” (Paula Karl,) “Letty” (Marvelyn A. Kennedy,) “Josephine” (Gloria Louk,) “Wilber” (Rick Louk,) “Dolly” (Mary Orms,) “Nellie” (Amanda Radkiewicz,) and “Vincent” (John Riedman).
