Carousel Opens Friday

Don’t wait to reserve your tickets to enjoy one of the classics of the musical theater stage!  Carousel opens in The Cailloux Theater this Friday, June 30.

Richard Rodgers once called Carousel his favorite of all his collaborations with Oscar Hammerstein, and it’s east to see why.  The score includes such long-lived favorites as “June Is Bustin’ Out All Over,” “If I Loved You” and the thrilling “You’ll Never Walk Alone”  And the story of ill-fated love and redemption is as timely today as when it was first performed.

The mulit-talend cast is led by Kara Joy Baker and Adam Guerra as “Julie Jordan” and “Billy Bigelow.” Jem Goulding and Christopher Distel take the roles of “Carrie Pipperidge” and “Enoch Snow,” and Carole Weatherred is “Cousin Nettie.”

Dana Williams plays carousel owner Mrs. Mullin, Sebastian Tugwell is ne’er-do-well Jigger Craigin, Fred Henneke is mill owner Mr. Bascombe, Paul Flett portrays the Starkeeper and Rob Ward is his associate Brother Joshua.

Jeffrey Brown is in the Director’s Chair, with Heather Cunningham providing choreography, and Michael Kahl as the Music Director.  Ginny Shaw is the Stage Manager, Carol Maryan is Props Master, Jem Goulding is Costumer, assisted by Kylie Nidever, and Marty Leonard will conduct the pit orchestra.

Performances are June 30 through July 15, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30, with one Sunday Matinee on July 9 at 2:30, in the Cailloux Theater.  Reserved seating is $25 for the Orchestra Section, $20 for all other sections, and $5 less per ticket for students and children.  You can reserve your tickets today by clicking HERE.
