See P2K’s One-Act-Play is headed to Regionals!  Your Help is Needed!

A Scene from the Texas State AACTFest performance of “Glory In The Flower”

As you already know (if you’re a regular reader of the EBlast) the cast and crewof the P2K One-Act-Play An Evening with William Inge’s Bus Rileyrecently traveled to Lewisville as one of nine theaters asked to perform at the Texas Nonprofit Theaters’ State AACTFest.

While there, our company earned several awards:

  • All-Star Cast (for Amy Goodyear as “Jackie”)
  • Outstanding Back Stage
  • Outstanding Scenic Design
  • Outstanding Acting Ensemble
  • Outstanding Production

This last award means that we

Jeffrey Brown (right) accepts one of two plaques for “Outstanding Production” at the Texas State AACTFest

were invited to advance our production to the AACT Region VI Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico in Apri  l!

There, your Playhouse 2000 will be one of two companies representing the State of Texas, alongside productions from Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Louisiana.

This is a real “feather in the cap” for Playhouse 2000 and for the Hill Country Theater community!  And we’re very proud and excited to show the region what we’re made of down here!

Before we head out, the cast and crew of Bus Riley will once again offer a public performance on Saturday, April 4th at 7:00, which will be your chance to see – or see again – this unique event.  There’s no admission charge, but we will be accepting donations to help cover the cost of the trip.

Even if you can’t come, please click here to go to our TILT Campaign for P2K’s Trip to AACTFest, and give a gift of $3, $5, $10 or more to help your Playhouse 2000 offset the cost of this exciting opportunity.

Thank you for all of the support thus far.  We’ll let you know how it goes in Albuquerque!
