A Christmas Carol Opens Friday

The final production in Playhouse 2000’s Fifteenth Anniversary Season is quickly coming together, preparing for an Opening Night of Friday, December 6th for a three-weekend run.

This unique version of the show has been a blast to rehearse, as “foley artist” Jim Boman makes plans to create sound effects live; our “fiddler” Chloe Keen learns the songs that will be played during the action, and our band of seven actors creates literally dozens of characters from the ground up.

This script is amazingly true to the original text, with almost all of the dialog and narration coming directly from the book.  This allows us to create a very true-to-Dickens production that we think the whole family will love.

You can see A Christmas Carol in the VK Garage Theater (305 Washington Street) December 6 through 21.  Showtimes are Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30, with a Sunday Matinee on December 15th at 2:30.  Seating is limited, so advance reservations are recommended.  Get them HERE or by calling (830) 896-9393.
