Getting Set for “Shakespeare” – SITP 2016 prepares to go back to Louise Hays Park June 3 and 4

Congratulations! to the cast of “Hamlet,” selected by director Sarah Distel at last weekend’s auditions.  They include Steve Roberts in the title role, Ken DeZarn as his good friend, Horatio, Amy Goodyear as his mother, Gertrude, and Jessica Robertsas his intended, Ophelia.  The one-time King of Denmark, now a ghost, will be played by Nancy Stuart, the new king, Claudius, by Chris Distel.

“Mitch” Mitchell will portray Polonius, Marcus Goodyear, Laertes.  The pair of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern will be played by Jeffrey Hensel abd Evan Vera.  The cast is rounded out by Mark Sturm and Ethan VanFossen as the players, and by Michelle VanFossen, Derek Meier, Chandler DeZarn and Michele Illich-Daubas.

We are very excited to be returning SITP to its home in Louise Hays Park, where you’ll be able to enjoy a picnic and the show Friday and Saturday, June 3 and 4.  Showtime is 8:00.
